Parker 91/100
The 2010 Neyen shows more purity on the nose compared to the 2009, with blackberry, blueberry, flinty notes and a touch of smoke. It has fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins over a dense core of earthy, tobacco-infused black fruit. The finish shows more delineation and refinement than the 2009. There is a satisfying, sophisticated touch to this 2010

Neyen is one of several wineries with plantings in Apalta, Chile’s most distinguished and inter-nationally recognized vineyard. With vines planted as long ago as the early 1900s, this landmark Col chagua vineyard features san-dy loam on top of granite bedrock, and produces the country’s best blends of Carmenère and Caber-net Sauvignon. Neyen, with Wine-maker Rodrigo Soto at the helm, boasts an eponymous top-shelf Apalta wine that deftly reflects its unique origin.

Wine Advocate
"The 2009 ... is more focused aromatically with notions of toasty oak, floral notes, balsamic, blueberry, and blackberry. Liquerlike on the palate (but dry), this is a plush, pleasure bent offering that plays it a bit closer to the vest than the 2008"
Winemaker's Notes
Intense aromas of strawberry, raspberry, plum and cassis mingle with hints of pepper and vanilla. On the palate, the 2010 Neyen is soft and elegant, with ripe tannins and low acidity. The finish is long and memorable.

Redolent of dried currant and sandalwood, this is a vibrant, gutsy red, featuring of deep vein of cocoa powder. Exhibits an elegant texture, with a finish that lingers with fig and olive notes.
James Suckling 91/100
“A round and juicy red with hints of sandalwood, dark berry and blueberry. Full body, velvety tannins and a juicy finish. Opulent
yet shy. A blend of half carmenere and cabernet sauvignon.
